GSEEM @ the University of L'Aquila

Here a list of rules to be followed to get enrolled at the University of L'Aquila, as a GSEEM student.

The GSEEM enrollment process:

  1. First of all, you have to apply through the GSEEM Admission web page, and successively send a detailed documentation (cv, transcript of record, reccomendation letters, etc.) to coreatgseemdoteu
  2. In February, the GSEEM board evaluates your admission request
  3. By March, you will receive an email with information about your request acceptance or rejection. The evaluation will be based uniquely on the quality of your student carieer
  4. If you get selected, you have to enroll to the Universities you selected 

Be aware that Erasmus LLP scholarships can be used to partially finance GSEEM students mobility to the University of L'Aquila.

Enrollment to the University of L'Aquila:

You may come to L'Aquila following two different paths.

Case 1: You spend your first year at the University of L'Aquila

In this case, here the process to follow:

  1. First, you may need a visa letter from the University of L'Aquila. If so, please contact the University of L'Aquila GSEEM coordinator (prof. Henry Muccini) at henrydotmucciniatdidotunivaqdotit as soon as possible after being selected.
  2. You need to prepare the documents required for your enrollment, that are: a) the bachelor degree (original or authenticated copy) that has been translated in italian, and legalized, b) “Dichiarazione di valore in loco” released by the italian embassy in your Country, c) a copy of the "stay permit" (permesso di soggiorno) [this document will be prepared in Italy once you arrive]
  3. Once you arrive in Italy, you provide those documents to the Students Secretary that starts the enrollment process. You also go visit the International office for a list of documents you have to prepare (see the "Information for Your Journey" page for more details)
  4. You spend the first year in L'Aquila: your objective is to get 60 ECTS credits. 
  5. You spend the second year in the second GSEEM university. Please remember that during this second year, you must enroll again at the University of L'Aquila.
  6. When you complete your 120 credits, you inform the Secretary and the GSEEM coordinator in L'Aquila about it, and send a copy of your Transcript of Record.

Case 2: You spend your second year at the University of L'Aquila

In this case, here the process:

  1. First, you may need a visa letter from the University of L'Aquila. If so, please contact the University of L'Aquila GSEEM coordinator (prof. Henry Muccini) at henrydotmucciniatdidotunivaqdotit as soon as possible after being selected.
  2. You need to prepare the documents required for your enrollment, that are:  a) the bachelor degree (original or authenticated copy) that has been translated in italian, and legalized, b) “Dichiarazione di valore in loco” released by the italian embassy in your Country, c) a copy of the "stay permit" (permesso di soggiorno) [this document will be prepared in Italy once you arrive] [we are currently revising our process to make it simpler to apply to students coming from GSEEM universities]
  3. You need to bring with you: a) an official Transcript of Record that certifies the completion of your 60 credits in the first year GSEEM University (this document can be provided later on, if you still have to complete your credits), b) the sillabi of GSEEM courses you attended in year one, c) an official document showing the list of exams that you passed during your Bachelor degree.
  4. Once you arrive in Italy, you provide the enrollment documents to the Students Secretary that starts the enrollment process. You provide the Transcript of Records to the University of L'Aquila coordinator. You also go visiting the International office for a list of documents you have to prepare (see the "Information for Your Journey" page for more details).
  5. We evaluate your carrer, and we may ask you to take some specific courses missing from your student career and required to get our Master degree. 
  6. You spend the second year in L'Aquila: your objective is to get 60 ECTS credits, including your master thesis
  7. You discuss your thesis in L'Aquila
  8. Once done, you start the double degree recognition with the first year GSEEM University.
