Corrado Lattanzio is professor of mathematical analysis at University of L'Aquila, where he spent his whole academic career since 2000. He did the PhD in the Consortium Rome "Tor Vergata" - L'Aquila - Cosenza, with Prof. P. Marcati as advisor.

He has been visiting in many international research centers/universities; among others: Ecole Normale Superiéure (Lyon); Institut für Angewandte Mathematik (Heidelberg); Max Planck Institute (Leipzig); Laboratoire J.A. Dieudonné (Nice); Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics, FORTH and Department of Applied Mathematics (Heraklion); Stanford University; KAUST.

His research activity is in the field of partial differential equations, and in particular his interests ranges from the study of hyperbolic systems of conservation/balance laws and their relaxation limits; the asymptotic behavior and (meta)stability for conservation/balance laws; the analysis of microscopic-macroscopic traffic flow models.

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable but in the end it’s right
I hope you had the time of your life
