Stefano Smriglio's research interests concern with optimization, in
particular integer programming and combinatorial optimization, and
range from theoretical analysis to computational experimentation and
applications.

Two long-standing projects concern

  • the study of mathematical programming
algorithms for the Maximum Stable Set problem (equivalent to the
    Maximum Clique problem)
  • the development of algorithms for symmetric integer programs

Current applications:
- workforce planning in call centers
- pick-up-and-delivery in a semiconductor manufacturing plant
