TetaLab

Laura Tarantino is co-responsible for TetaLab (Technology-Enhanced Treatment for Autism Lab), a multidisciplinary laboratory of the University of L’Aquila cooperating with the Regional Reference Center for Autism of the Abruzzo Region. The laboratory was founded by scientists from the Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics and from the Department of Biotechnological and Applied Clinical Sciences, with the aim of conceiving and validating ICT-based ASD treatments specifically centered on communicationsocial interaction, and autonomy. The TetaLab team includes computer scientists, psychologists, and medical doctors. The participatory design activity carried on by the lab involves also ASD young persons in the age range 15–28 and families.
