I am an applied mathematician working at the University of L'Aquila on some of the latest and fascinating developments of Nonequilibrium Statistical Mechanics, with applications ranging from fluid dynamics to pedestrian, crowd and evacuation dynamics.
In my research activity I tend to smoothly combine the derivation of rigorous results with the numerical modelling through Monte Carlo simulations.
