Today, the sixth edition of #T-TeC – Telespazio Technology Contest, has been officially launched

Open to students and researchers from universities and departments all over the world, #T-TeC is one of Leonardo and Telespazio’s initiatives focused on Open Innovation: the innovation shared with start-ups, research centres and academies to promote new ideas and opportunities.
This year’s competition once again aims to harness the potential of the next generation, challenging young participants to tackle the issues that will shape the space sector, and not only, in the next few decades.

First created in 2019, in its five past editions the #T-TeC saw the participation of more than 370 students and young researchers from 60 universities all over the world, who shared with us 100+ innovative ideas and projects in space sector.

The teams taking part in #T-TeC 2024 edition will focus on seven macro-themes closely related to sustainability in Space and on Earth: “Space Exploration and Extra-terrestrial Exploitation”; “In Orbit Servicing towards a Circular Economy in Space”; “Sustainable solutions towards Solar System through Digital Twins”; “Space Domain Awareness for the Protection of Space and Ground Infrastructures”; “Emerging Space-based Connectivity Solutions”; “Positioning, Navigation and Timing
Solutions for Earth and other celestial bodies”; “Innovative Electro-Optical technologies solutions for remote sensing”.
This year the proposals will be submitted to two categories, depending on their level of maturity: Idea or Prototype.

Moreover, since 2022 edition, #T-TeC also target the growth of the space business ecosystem, supporting winning teams in incubating their ideas towards new start-ups and accelerating them.
