Bruno Rubino is a researcher in the field of Hyperbolic Conservation Laws and, more in general, in Nonlinear Hyperbolic Partial Differential Equations. His investigations are focused mainly on qualitative properties of solutions of such equations, as asymptotic behavior, stability and relaxation limits, with particular regard to models coming from Physics and Engineering, as fluid dynamics and semiconductor devices.

Coordinator of the MSc in Mathematical Engineering from 2004 to 2012.

Coordinator of the PhD Course in Mathematical Modelling in Engineering from 2005 to 2013.

Network Coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Mathematical Modelling in Engineering: Theory, Numerics, Applications (MathMods) from 2008 to 2019.

Network Coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Interdisciplinary Mathematics (InterMaths) since 2022

Network Coordinator of the International Joint MSc Programme in Mathematics for Real World Applications (RealMaths) since 2006

In October 2019 he was appointed Vice Rector for International Affairs at the University of L'Aquila
